Buzzing temperature sensor
A common problem on the Saab 9000 is that you can hear a buzzing sound from one of the buttons on the dashboard. This small button is in fact an interior temperature sensor for the ACC system and it might often collect a lot of dust through the years.
Follow these steps to clean the sensor:
- Remove the ACC panel
- Remove the dust cover from the outside. You can see the two plastic tabs on the sensor that lets you pry it out.
- Remove any visible dust with swab or compressed air. If you use a screwdriver or other sharp objects there is a risk of damaging the sensor.
- Reassemble in reverse order.
